St. Joseph’s Convent Secondary School (“SJSS”)
is an all girls’ school in Freetown, Sierra Leone which is now in its 157th year. Over the years the school has produced educators, doctors, judges, lawyers, teachers, nurses, accountants and many other professionals. Some of our alumnae are currently playing prominent roles on national and international stages and we are proud of our products but some of our students would never have been able to achieve their education without the financial support from donors like you. We are all standing on the shoulders of giants, pioneers and trailblazers because we all need each other. Today, we are the baton holders in this race and we must do our part to pass the baton to posterity so that our beloved school continue to live on and ensure that we continue to empower and create leaders of tomorrow through education.

It is in this spirit that we are asking you all to help us continue this great legacy of preparing current students and teachers to make their contribution in the future. SJSS recently completed a brand-new building housing additional classroom, staff room, computer lab and library. We need to quickly furnish these facilities so that current students can access them to enhance their education.

We are appealing to you to consider making a donation towards this worthy venture. Please reach us at sjssaalumnae@gmail.com if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your contribution because together we can make a huge difference in the lives of these students, empower them and break the cycle of illiteracy and poverty. This donation page makes it easier to join us in doing so. Please consider supporting us so that we will continue to make a difference in the education system back home, specifically in the lives of SJSS students and teachers.

We thank you from our hearts for all you have done and continue to do…together we can.
