President's Message

On behalf of the St. Joseph’s Secondary School Alumnae Association, Mid-Atlantic Chapter (“Association”), its Executives, Board of Directors and all our members that make this association what it is, I warmly welcome you to our online community! Our primary and main mission is to restore the dignity of our alma mater back home and to help build leaders by giving financial and moral support to the students and teachers. Our secondary goal is to preserve a mutually beneficial, enduring relationship and sisterhood among alums here in the diaspora so that we can be there for each other for we are a long way from home.

As your President, I am constantly thinking of meaningful ways to achieve these goals successfully and together I have no doubt that we can do it. I urge you to become an active alum and share in the exciting activities and opportunities this Chapter has to offer. There are different ways you can support our various causes and sisterhood coalition. This includes promoting and attending our various fundraising events throughout the year, paying your dues, staying connected to each other in the forums, offering your time and gifts to help mentor students and teachers through the Dilly Empowerment Foundation or even becoming active within some of the committees. Through this site you can get involved with the Association, read about some of the amazing work your financial support over the years has helped us achieve, find out about upcoming activities, suggest innovative ways for the association to grow and raise funds and most importantly you can volunteer and share your ideas and vision. Wherever you are, at whatever stage of life you are in, there's something here for you and we welcome you with open arms.

On behalf of the Executives, Board of Directors and our entire membership, I want to encourage you to share and use this site as one way to engage with our SJSSAA Mid-Atlantic Chapter and maintain your personal connection to fellow alums and the school back home. We need you. We are excited about the direction and future of the Association and look forward to serving and sharing information with you, throughout the year. Please join us on this journey because together we can all make a difference no matter how small. ESTO FIDELIS!
